Car Show

When: September 18th from 10 AM to 3 PM

Where:  Baseball Field at Quilcene school grounds

In December of 2004, USMC Veteran Travis Hitt introduced the idea of creating a car club for Quilcene locals. That car club was formed in 2005 and would come to be known as the South County Classic Cruisers (SCCC).  The original founders consisted of Travis Hitt, Gary Hitt, and Richard (Steve) Stephens.  The SCCC frequently did Sunday cruises down the Hood Canal to Shelton for Sunday Brunch.  The popularity of SCCC drew the interest of the Fair Board and they were invited to host their First Annual Car Show in 2005.  The first car show introduced a Burnout Exhibition.  The following year, the Fair Board approved a Burnout Demonstration.

The Fair and parade association in conjunction with the South County Classic Cruisers Car Club will be hosting this year’s Annual Car Show at the Fair is being held on September 18th from 10 AM to 3 PM.  The SCCC welcomes any and all car enthusiasts to enter their vehicle into this year’s car show, for an entry fee of $10.  Three (3) trophies will be awarded based on public judging.  The award categories will be: Best in Show, Best Hot Rod, and Best Classic Car.

SCCC hopes to see everyone at the Fair and is looking forward to a great turnout.
